EEG
An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that measures electrical impulses in the brain. Electrodes (sensors) are placed on your head with wires that connect to a computer. The electrodes measure and record your brain function by displaying wavy lines on a computer screen.
The EEG Lab at Boys Town National Research Hospital offers both outpatient and inpatient diagnostic services. The lab offers routine EEG monitoring and two long-term EEG monitoring equipped inpatient rooms. Boys Town National Research Hospital records all EEG examinations.
An EEG is to diagnose or look for problems such as:
- Confusion
