Hearing Adaptation in Noisy Conditions in Adults

Purpose of Study: The Human Auditory Development Lab is conducting a study on how factors such as hearing and language affect a person's ability to understand speech in competing backgrounds, like noise and speech.

  • Who can participate: Spanish-English bilingual adults
  • Compensation: $20/hr
  • Time: One session of 2-3 hours
  • Visit Type: In-person
  • Location: Boys Town National Research Hospital Downtown Campus, 555 North 30th Street
  • Participation requirements: Adults 19-50 years old with normal hearing who were exposed to both English and Spanish by age 5.
